About me.
Ten years ago, my family and I chose the South Cariboo because we loved the life we could build here.
The lakes. The trails. The open space. The slower pace. And the kind of community where you can walk into a coffee shop and people know your name.
When we arrived, I bought a struggling local real estate brokerage. I was told it would be difficult for me to succeed here, but I saw an opportunity to build something different.
I focused on creating a business where people came first. Our office was welcoming and full of life. Agents brought their families in, clients stopped by for coffee and people felt comfortable walking through the door.
That approach helped us attract an incredible team. Together, we grew the brokerage into the local market leader and earned national recognition along the way.
A few years ago, I sold the brokerage but continued working in real estate. My work has always been about more than selling houses. It's about helping people understand what makes the South Cariboo such a special place to live.
I enjoy building community, and promoting the South Cariboo has become a natural part of my work. I create videos highlighting local businesses, people and places, and help organize and support community events and trade shows.
One of the things I'm most proud of is helping bring our summer Music in the Park series to life. What began as a simple idea has grown into Friday nights filled with music, families gathering, kids playing and neighbours spending time together.
For the past ten years, I've built and grown businesses, promoted the South Cariboo and turned ideas into experiences that people can enjoy together.
I didn't do any of it because I thought I might run for mayor someday.
I did it because the South Cariboo became home.
